KAUSHIK is used in control of rust, powdery mildew, cercospora and brown
spot. It is a Bio control agent.
KAUSHIK is a broad spectrum product for the control or suppression of many
important plant diseases and is an excellent fit in disease control
programs of both conventional and organic production. KAUSHIK adds value to all programs by providing the additional benefits of
resistance management, short 4 hour re-entry intervals, compatibility
with other products, no residue restrictions for export, and safety
to beneficial insects.
KAUSHIK produces an antifungal compound & that disrupts cell metabolism
and destroys cell walls, leading to the destruction of the cell and
death of the plant pathogen. KAUSHIK also creates a zone of inhibition on plant surfaces, preventing
pathogens from establishing on the plant. This novel mode of action
not only creates an effective fungicide, but also makes it very
difficult for diseases to develop resistance. KAUSHIK is
therefore an important tool for growers in areas where resistance to
conventional products has developed and it will help to prevent the
development of resistant pathogens.
KAUSHIK Bio control agent provides excellent control of downy and powdery
mildews and rusts and has a good fit in resistance management
programs where growers are looking for performance and value. KAUSHIK's
15-day activity makes it an effective and economical biological
partner in disease control programs. Based on a naturally occurring
strain developed by Ponalab in Technical Collaboration with Carlsbad
Biosystems, USA & funded by Government of India under National
Horticulture Mission and can be applied in both conventional and
organic disease control programs. KAUSHIK performance has been
confirmed through efficacy field trials in high value specialty fruit
and vegetable crops.
It provides:
15 days control on powdery mildew
Biological, novel mode of action
Resistance management tool
KAUSHIK can be combined with and complements standard disease
control programs. It is a powder formulation and is compatible
with products such as copper, sulfur and other foliar-applied
micronutrients, insecticides and fungicides. KAUSHIK is
also compatible with use of non-penetrating, non-ionic products such
as silicon surfactants. Its zero-day pre harvest interval makes KAUSHIK an
excellent tool for late season disease problems, right up to and
including the day of harvest. KAUSHIK is exempt from the requirements of a residue tolerance, helping
growers meet "clean" food standards established by independent Scientific Certification
Systems & also an exported crop treated with KAUSHIK is
not subject to Codex import requirements. KAUSHIK is
compatible with IPM programs. It is non-toxic to beneficial insects,
mites, bees and other non-target organisms.
KAUSHIK is a powder formulation and available in 300 gms packing. KAUSHIK can be used in organic production; KAUSHIK will meet
the rule for use on organically produced crop.
Usage:
Dilute 2-3 Grams of KAUSHIK per liter of water and spray evenly on any standing crop which is
suffering from above mentioned problems. Repeat the procedure after
every 20 days.
Benefits:
KAUSHIK’s
efficacy, biological nature, spectrum of activity, compatibility and
mode of action make it an ideal tank-mix or rotational partner in a
disease management program. It can be used prior to harvest without
leaving unsightly deposits on fruit and foliage. Besides its safety
to humans, plants and the environment, KAUSHIK is
safe to beneficial insects and mites, thus fitting well into
biologically-based pest management programs. |
